I've had the amazing privilege of being helped and critiqued on this piece by Vincent Joyal, and several of my Champlain College student peers.
For this 3D image I was inspired by the 1834 painting Place de l’Esbekieh au Caire, by orientalist painter Prosper Marilhat. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/fb/f5/2d/fbf52d779d78079e6ad3b75f5cddbaab.jpg
This is an exercise in large scale environment modeling and the power of tillable, fully procedural textures. The painting features a fictional street in Cairo with Islamic architecture, I used that information as my main point of reference when making all of my architectural and prop decisions. All lighting and post processing was done in UE4.
